Our story
It started with a gap
On one side, designer watches that are elegant but priced out of reach. On the other, affordable models with no character in their design. Between the two, nothing.
WILLIAM WOHLER was born from that void, in France, where a passion for watchmaking met a craft: visual design.
Rather than look for the watch that was missing, he designed it
Abdellah Sabir is not a trained watchmaker. He comes from visual design, a craft where you spend hours moving a line by two millimetres, because that is where everything is decided.
He brought that same eye to the watch: the proportions of the case, the length of the indexes, the placement of the monogram. Nothing spectacular taken separately. Everything, taken together.
The steps
An observation, then a pencil
The founder put his visual design skills to work on a gap he first noticed as a buyer: the distance between what you pay and what you wear.
Choosing the name
WILLIAM WOHLER refers to no one. The name was chosen for its sound: two words that roll, an Anglo-Saxon ring, a signature you remember. A name with no past, and it falls to us to write its story.
A commitment to minimalism
A clean dial, slim indexes, a case that does not reach for thickness. Every model goes with an outfit without dominating it: from a suit to a knitted jumper, from the office to dinner.
A collection that stands its ground
Men's watches at 41 mm, women's watches at 36 mm. White, black, blue or turquoise dials, genuine leather and Milanese mesh. One design language, declined across models, rather than a catalogue that scatters.
316L steel, engraved on the back
The same steel used in surgery: stainless, hypoallergenic, it does not blacken against the skin. Every case carries our engraving on the back.
Inside, a Japanese Miyota quartz movement, from the Citizen group. In front, a sapphire glass, one of the most scratch resistant materials there is, and rare in this price range.
Our watches are designed in France: the drawing, the choice of materials and the finishes. Manufacturing takes place in China, as it does for the vast majority of watches in this range.
A name with no story is a story still to be written.
